The Dresden SC volleyball players have well and truly earned their short Christmas break. After a tough few weeks in England, they won their last home game of the year against Erfurt in commanding fashion.

Just two days after their narrow win against Suhl, the Dresden SC volleyball team completed their compulsory task against Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt with ease. Alexander Waibl's team won the last home game of the year against the eighth-placed team in the table with a clear 3:0 (25:20, 25:11, 25:16). The team from the city on the Elbe thus remains unbeaten at home in the league and celebrated its eighth win in ten matches.

Although the visitors from Thuringia got off to the better start in front of 2,902 spectators, the favorites then increasingly took command of the game. The Dresden side put Black & White under pressure with their tasks, played a varied attack from a stable reception, and the DSC was also clearly superior to their opponents in blocking and defense. DSC coach Waibl could also afford to rotate almost completely and give players from the second row a chance to play.
