Dead snake triggers police operation in Kamenz

A dead grass snake has led to a police operation in Kamenz. According to the Görlitz police department, a woman discovered the snake and alerted the officers. The police identified the reptile as a grass snake and removed the carcass.

According to the German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union, adult grass snakes can grow up to 1.20 meters long. Two crescent-shaped yellow spots on the back of the head are their trademark. The snake is not dangerous to humans.
