The Turkish Super Cup final is a prestigious duel between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. In the end, an ex-Bundesliga coach can celebrate, while two German players miss out on the title.

Former Bundesliga coach Domenico Tedesco has celebrated his first title with Fenerbahçe Istanbul. The 40-year-old was able to celebrate winning the Turkish Super Cup after the 2:0 (1:0) in the final against champions Galatasaray Istanbul. Matteo Guendouzi (28 minutes) and Jayden Oosterwolde (48 minutes) scored the goals for Tedesco's team in the Atatürk Olympic Stadium.

For Galatasaray, ex-Bayern professional Leroy Sané was in the starting eleven. Former national team captain Ilkay Gündogan was substituted in the second half.

Tedesco had coached FC Schalke 04 and RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. He then spent two years as Belgium's national team coach before moving to Fenerbahçe on the Bosphorus. There, the German-Italian was initially criticized, but in recent months he has been able to stabilize the team.
