Fürth loses test ahead of relegation duel in Dresden

SpVgg Greuther Fürth were unable to gain any further confidence for the upcoming continuation of the relegation battle in the 2nd Bundesliga in their test match against Jahn Regensburg. Three days after a 5:0 win against Schweinfurt 05, the second winter test against a third division team at the Fürth training center resulted in a sobering 0:2 (0:1).

Noel Eichinger (2nd minute) and Benedikt Bauer (68th) scored the goals for the visitors from the Upper Palatinate. The game was the worst possible way for the team second last in the table to prepare for the start of the second half of the season next Saturday at second division bottom club Dynamo Dresden. Fürth coach Heiko Vogel received little encouragement from his team.
