The footballers of the Regionalliga Nordost will not be able to lace up their boots next weekend either. Seven of the nine matches on matchday 21 have already been called off due to the climatic conditions. Only the match between Magdeburg II and Chemnitzer FC on Friday evening and the game between Hallescher FC and Rot-Weiß Erfurt, which was scheduled for Saturday afternoon, fell victim to the weather until Wednesday afternoon.
NOFV against complete cancellations
The North-East German Football Association (NOfV) had already announced in the previous week that it would not cancel any matches completely - and would not do so in the future either. As a result, Lokomotive Leipzig against Hertha Zehlendorf and Hertha BSC II against Greifswalder FC, which were scheduled for Friday, have been canceled.
The matches scheduled for Saturday between VSG Altglienicke and SC Eilenburg and BFC Preußen and FSV Luckenwalde will also not take place. Likewise, all three matches scheduled for Sunday between Carl Zeiss Jena and FSV Zwickau, Babelsberg 03 against Chemie Leipzig and ZFC Meuselwitz against BFC Dynamo will fall victim to the weather conditions.
