Energie coach Wollitz warns RB: "It will be a fight"

Cottbus coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz promises Bundesliga side RB Leipzig a real cup fight. "Leipzig won't just win this game here on Tuesday evening. That's for sure," said the coach of the third-division club ahead of the second-round clash between the two teams in Cottbus (20:45/Sky). "They can say what they like. It will be a battle."

The 60-year-old is aware of his team's underdog role. RB are regarded as Bayern's first rivals in the Bundesliga. "They play a good system, actually my favorite system, 4-3-3. With clear sequences, a very good structure, speed, individuality, standards," praised Wollitz.

He expects "a team that will attack high, that wants to create clear conditions quickly, that's what I want to call it. And we'll have to hold our own and, if possible, get a cup thriller on Tuesday evening."

Wollitz: We're not intimidated

Because Energie are also in good form. The Brandenburg side are still unbeaten at home and lead the 3rd division table. Energie knocked out second-division side Hannover in the first round of the cup. The LEAG Energie Stadium is sold out with 22,528 fans for the first second-round home match in the DFB Cup since 2010. Advancing would also be extremely valuable for the club financially.

"I don't think we're intimidated. On the contrary, we should soak up the situation and also factor our personal situation in the table into this game," said Wollitz. "Of course the chances are slim, but we can make sure that perhaps the chances in the game are greater. To do that, we need perfect organization, perfect balance and hopefully the right line-up."
