Many icy accidents in Upper Lusatia and the Ore Mountains

Slippery roads led to several accidents this morning, particularly in Upper Lusatia and the Eastern Ore Mountains. The police warned of sleet, freezing rain and slippery roads. Several district and federal roads were closed due to accidents in the Erzgebirgskreis and near Görlitz and Bautzen. The Autobahn 17 near Dresden was also affected by the icy conditions. According to police reports, trucks had also broken down or turned over on several routes.
