Bundesliga club RB Leipzig will probably have to do without defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu for several weeks. According to the club, the Frenchman has suffered an injury to his right thigh. Detailed examinations revealed that it was a muscle injury.
Bitshiabu had cut short his trip to the French U20 national team early due to the discomfort. Before the international break, he had replaced his injured compatriot Castello Lukeba in the starting eleven for the first time in the 3-1 defeat in Hoffenheim. The talented defender, who joined Leipzig from Paris Saint Germain in 2023, is considering a loan move in the winter to get more match practice.
