Natalija Bock is the new commissioner responsible for advising on discrimination in Saxony's schools. She wants to ensure a fear-free coexistence.

The new commissioner against discrimination at schools in Saxony, Natalija Bock, has started her work. In future, she will advise pupils, teachers and parents on a voluntary basis in cases of discrimination, the Ministry of Culture announced.

"I stand for a school where no one has to be afraid of being different," said the qualified teacher. Bock was born in Ukraine and has lived with her family in Dresden for more than 25 years.

She succeeds Patrick Schreiber in the Ministry of Culture's ombudsman's office. The position was created in 2022. According to the Ministry of Culture, around 100 cases and numerous telephone inquiries have been processed since then - the ombudsperson has generally been able to successfully mediate or arbitrate.
