The construction work at Dresden Central Station has been completed on schedule. The station has been open to train traffic again since this morning, according to a Deutsche Bahn spokesperson.
The main station had been closed since Friday morning for the work, and no trains were able to run for three days. The reason for the closure was work on the crossing structure under Budapester Straße. This is part of the expansion of the Leipzig-Dresden rail link, which is due to be completed by 2027.
Another closure of the main station has been announced for the period from February 14 to 16.
